The Great I AM
Jesus doesn't make the "I am" statements by mistake. Not only is he telling us about himself, but he's inviting us into relationship with the Great I AM.

On the Road
April 7th, 2012
Alleluia! He is Risen!
Even amidst our Easter celebrations, we can experience moments of desperation and despair - just like the disciples on the road to Emmaus. When your fondest hope gets dashed, when a dream has apparently died, when the bottom drops out on your life, where do you go? Is it possible that we’ll find Jesus even there?
Luke 24:13-35At Golgotha
March 30th, 2012
On the Friday we call “Good,” the sun was blotted out at noon. Darkness descended over everything, as thought creation itself didn't want to see what was happening on Golgotha. Sometimes darkness seems to fill our lives too, and we can't see any light, any way forward. How can you go on when it seems like there's nothing left to live for?
Matthew 27:32-50In the Garden
March 23rd, 2012
How do you behave when life’s walls seem to be closing in on you? How do you pray? Jesus knows how this feels. In the Upper Room
March 16th, 2012
If the words “The Upper Room” conjure up an image for you of Jesus and his disciples, then you are probably a Christian. In fact, you've probably been a Christian for a long time. What do we learn from the Upper Room...John 13:1-30 and Luke 22
The Cross as Our Atonement
March 9th, 2012
How's your righteousness? How are you doing in the “pleasing to God” department? Not sure? The gospel – the Good News about the cross of Christ – has a word for you.
Romans 8:21-26The Cross as Our Victory
March 2nd, 2012
Sometimes it seems as though we're on the losing side – sin and evil seem to be on the rise, faith is dwindling, the church is shrinking, Christians are increasingly marginalized. It looks like we're losing the battle. Actually, the battle's already over, and our side won!
Colossians 2:13-15 and Revelation 12:10-11The Cross as Our Example
February 24th, 2012
How do you react when someone treats you wrong? When something big happens – a friend betrays you, you're accused unfairly of something you didn't do. Or even when it's a little thing, like getting cut off on the highway? Do you get mad? Do you scream and curse? Do you try to get even? Jesus shows us a better way.
1 Peter 2:21-25
