Galatians: Understanding Salvation and What it Means for How We Live Today

The season of Lent and celebration of Easter are closely linked in Christian tradition. These audio Bible study series from Groundwork are great for personal or group study to focus our hearts and minds on the meaningful events we observe during Lent and Easter.
For almost 2,000 years the Bible’s final book has been a cause for consternation, fear, and controversy. The reason for this is Revelation is chock-full of symbolism, some of which seems frightening and open to multiple layers of interpretation. However, a look at the context and purpose of Revelation reveals that all the apocalyptic symbolism points to a simple, consistent, and comforting message: Jesus Christ has won the battle against evil and God’s kingdom will endure forever.
Church tradition holds that the Apostle John wrote the book of Revelation. While some scholars have questioned John’s authorship, key theological themes and attributions from early church leaders, like Irenaeus of Lyons, affirm that John wrote Revelation. Yet, John points to another, a divine author, Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Many of us desire to intentionally cultivate our faith, but we don’t always know how to do it. A wonderful place to see what this cultivation looks like is in the lives of the first Christians, as recorded in the Bible. In our series, “Cultivating Faith: Post-Resurrection Appearances of Christ,” we’ll study the appearances of Jesus to his followers in the time between his resurrection and his ascension into Heaven. Through these stories, we’ll discover how we too can nurture and enrich our faith today.
