Important Themes in the Gospel of Luke

Each book of the gospel was written to inspire and encourage faith in Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Luke gives us one of the longest, most detailed accounts of Jesus’ life and ministry. In Luke, we discover a unique portrayal of Jesus as he repeatedly draws our attention to the work of the Holy Spirit, God’s plan for salvation for all people, the fulfillment of his promises, his compassion for sinners and marginalized people, and Christ’s victory over sin and death.
