Jesus' High Priestly Prayer (John 17)
Listening to someone pray can give us a glimpse into their heart. Jesus revealed the concerns of his heart in John 17 when he prayed for God to glorify him and for his disciples, both those with him now and those yet to come. Christians call this prayer of intercession “Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer.” In this Groundwork series, we’ll study the words of this prayer to discover what mattered most to Jesus as he prepared his disciples for his coming death. Together, we’ll consider what it means to live in the reality of Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer as it invites us into lives of unity, love, and purpose.
