Audio Bible Studies for When You’re on Go

I love audio Bible studies. Audio Bible studies and podcasts are especially handy when I’m on the go. For several years, I commuted for two to three hours each day. It was a great time to tune into Christian radio and listen to audio Bible teaching programs. This was a particularly formative time for me spiritually. Every day, the teachings in these programs built upon one another, widening my understanding of God and the Scriptures. If you’re in a season of life where you’re on the go, audio Bible studies are a great way to redeem that time in transit. Or perhaps you’d like to receive biblical teaching while working out, walking, or running. Audio Bible studies are portable and go anywhere with you.

Technology has changed in the years since I had those lengthy daily commutes. Podcasts and streaming let me choose what I’m going to listen to and when.

Audio Bible studies don’t require any prep

Audio Bible studies require almost no preparation. Just grab your device and hit play on the website or podcast. The producers of the audio Bible study have already done all the preparation for you. A quick look at the profile or website to review the biography of the host or narrator and the ministry that produced it can help you ensure the audio Bible study fits your theological framework and study goals.

They usually offer ready-made follow up material

The best audio Bible studies supply ready-to-use study or discussion guides right on the website or podcast platform. You can review these before listening to get an introduction to the topic, look for points of particular focus for after-listening reflection, and connect the current episode to other parts of a Bible study series.
