Ezekiel: A Message of Judgment and Hope

God called the prophet Ezekiel to ministry after years and years of Israel’s rebellion. Through Ezekiel, God pronounces judgment after judgment on his rebellious people, but God also gives them hope. In this Groundwork series, we’ll study the record of Ezekiel’s call to ministry, his prophetic visions, and the messages he delivers to God’s people. As we examine these stories together, we’ll gain wisdom about what God expects from his people, discuss the consequences of sin and rebellion, learn why our holy God must respond with judgment, and witness God’s great efforts to get the attention of his people. We’ll see how heartbroken and grieved God is when we disobey and we’ll give thanks that even as God pronounces judgment, he always offers us hope and a promise of salvation.
