The Cross of Jesus
The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ are the two most important events in the Christian tradition. These events changed the course of history. Every year Christians around the world purposefully observe the season of Lent as an intentional way to slow down, remember Christ’s sacrifice, and prepare their hearts for the incredibly joyous celebration of Easter. In this Groundwork series, we’ll study, reflect, and discuss the multiple aspects of the cross of Jesus revealed to us in Scripture. We’ll discover the deep application the cross has for our hearts and lives and be once again reminded with greater clarity what Jesus Christ endured on our behalf and what it means for us today.
