The Minor Prophets: God's Judgment and Hope

Many Christians are less familiar with the biblical books commonly known as the “Minor Prophets.” These twelve prophetic books at the end of the Old Testament are not long compared to the “Major Prophets.” Each book is named after the prophet tasked with communicating a particular message from God to his people. In this Groundwork series, hosts Scott Hoezee and Darrell Delaney will lead us in a study of nine Minor Prophets: Obadiah, Joel, Amos, Micah, Nahum, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. Join us as we examine the pointed accusations, harsh words of judgment, and promises of restoration found in these books and discuss the purpose these messages served for their original audience. Finally, let’s unpack how we can continue to find hope and guidance in these prophetic messages as we read them through the lens of Jesus Christ today.
